The Disc Golf Buddy phone app. Is a phone app, compatible on both iPhone and Android devices, that can be downlaoded at the GOOGLE PLAY store or App Store. It can be used anywhere in the world.

-WHAT DOES IT DO?
The phone app is a stand alone Tag Sorting (SORT IT !) & Tracking (TAG IT !) application.
Using it in conjunction with the Discgolfbuddy.ca website, the phone app allows the user to sort, and send the Tag round results to a Club database, which in turn keeps track of the Clubs tags giving a Club the current Tag Standings and current owners of those tags which then are viewable by Club members or the general public.
- WHAT IS THE COST?
The download fee for the Discgolfbuddy phone application is $5.49 CDN funds + applicable taxes. Converted cost for countries outside Canada.
-HOW DOES IT WORK?
The phone app has features (listed below) which helps a user input, add, edit, delete and save, Player Names, Current Tag Numbers of those Players, and scores after a Club Tag round or Tag round of play is complete.
Using the phone app SORT IT ! / TAG IT ! / WEB IT ! features, the user can sort Club Tags using the SORT IT ! feature to get instant results for the new tag a player will receive after a Tag round is completed.
Then using the TAG IT ! feature, the user can post the NEW TAG results to the Club database of the Club they are playing tags for in order to view the results on the Discgolfbuddy.ca website .
* Note, if no Internet access is accessable then make sure to SAVE your current Tag round after the SORT IT ! feature has been used.
When you acquire Internet access again, simply LOAD saved Tag round and use the TAG IT ! feature.
**Note, a Club USERNAME and PASSWORD are required to use the TAG IT ! feature. Ask your Club Manager or Representative for your USERNAME and PASSWORD.
The WEB IT ! ( The ' EARTH ICON ' on the phone app) feature brings you to the Discgolfbuddy.ca website where anyone around the world can view the current Tag Standings and the owners of each Tag for that club.

Use Discgolfbuddy for your Club Tag rounds. With the easy to use features, get the round started quicker, sort tags after the round with a click of a button for quick re-distribution of tags to members.
Post results to your clubs database for easy viewing and tracking of all the clubs tags and who has which tag. Know where you stand among your club members.

While many Clubs play Tag rounds, members may wish to play for tags against each other during non Club Tag rounds.
While it is impossible for me to speak to all the different clubs and members, I ask Club Managers or representatives to be my spokesperson.
Ask members to join in and purchase the Discgolfbuddy phone app so they can also use the TAG IT ! feature to keep the standings of tags up to date.
As long as one person has the app, then any members that play for tags can sort and post results to the clubs database.

-WHAT IF I WANT TO PLAY FOR ANOTHER CLUBS TAGS? - As long as you own a clubs tag and one of the players which are playing for Club Tags has the Discgolfbuddy phone app,
and the Clubs USERNAME and PASSWORD, then any player can play for any other Clubs Tags and TAG IT ! to that Clubs database.
-A Clubs USERNAME and PASSWORD should always be kept to the Club members.

DISCGOLFBUDDY PHONE APP FEATURES
- LOAD NEW / SAVED- Start a NEW Club Tag round or Load a SAVED Club Tag round.

-ENTER/SAVE/EDIT/DELETE PLAYER NAME and CURRENT TAG number.

- After all players and current tags they own are entered, SAVE the game. Then go play your round. Have fun.
- When the round is finished, LOAD saved game, enter each players score that round, use the SORT IT ! feature.
*Note score is based on number of strokes, not +/-, giving flexibility on number of holes played in a round.
- SORT IT !- Used to sort all Tags after a Club Tag or Tag round of play is completed, and final scores of round results are entered.
-Click SORT IT ! and walla, all Tags are now sorted based on scores of each players round and his/her previous Club Tag. * SAVE your results.

Ties are based on which player had the better Tag number before the round of play. DNF feature for players who did not complete a round of play will be listed as the last player.
Any player playing in a Club Tag round which does NOT own a club tag can be listed as N/T (No tag). This player will NOT be listed on that respective clubs Tag Standings.
If two or more players DNF, all will be listed as last and Tags will be listed based on tags entered at the beginning of a round of play.
EG: Ted had tag 14, Scott had tag 26 and James had tag 7. All players DNF'd.
Scott would receive the lowest Tag number, Ted would be second last, James would be third last and get the best of the last three remaining Tags.
-TAG IT !- The TAG IT ! feature is used after the SORT IT ! feature. After NEW TAGS are listed, user can then use the TAG IT ! feature.
This feature can only be used if a Club Manager or Representative has applied for a Club database and has a USERNAME and PASSWORD which would be used to access that respective clubs database.

* Note, SAVE sorted Tag round results after SORT IT ! feature has been used if no Internet access is available.
When you access the Internet, Load saved Tag round and use the TAG IT ! feature.
-WEB IT ! ( The ' Earth icon ' located at the top of the phone app)- The WEB IT ! feature is used to view current and up to date Club Tag Standings and the owners of each Tag.
This feature can only be used if your Club Manager or Representative has applied for a Club database.

The website is where Club Managers and Club Representatives can get full details on the Application link to create a Club database using the phone application.

HOW CAN A CLUB RECEIVE A DISC GOLF BUDDY SPONSORSHIP?
-As the list of Clubs grow on the Discgolfbuddy.ca website and downloaders of the Disc Golf Buddy phone app grow, so will the available amount of funds.
- Every four (4) months, Nick and myself will determine what amount is available for Sponsorship. If we determine we have enough, we will post on Discgolfbuddy.ca that a (varying amount) is available for Sponsorship. The first inquiry to available funds for Sponsorship will begin six (6) months after the unveiling of the Discgolfbuddy phone application and Discgolfbuddy.ca website.
-Any Club with a Club database which has been paid for after the intial free trial has ended, which is interested in getting a sponsorship for a club tournament or event can send me a detailed email of the event or requirement they wish to have sponsored, and it will be determined by both Nick and I where the sponsorship funds will go. Remember, the more club members who download the Discgolfbuddy phone application, and the more clubs that apply for a Club database will make this (varying amount) grow.
In the event that funds available are to low, a RANDOM.ORG draw will be made for all clubs that have paid for a years club database application. The club picked will then go through a RANDOM.ORG draw for one of it's club members listed on the clubs tag standings to win a prize.
So spread the word, get your Manager or Representative to sign your club up. Then get your members to download the phone application and enjoy.

This information will not be used further for research or marketing methods by Discgolfbuddy or Discgolfbuddy.ca. Clubs members names will be visible by the general public for viewing only.
Club members who download the Discgolfbuddy application, will do so, with the security that the information provided will be secure and not be used for research or marketing methods.
Discgolfbuddy and the Discgolfbuddy.ca website may in future use all club member names provided to further provide more possible features or updates,to be used on the Discgolfbuddy application and website.
Information provided by Club Managers or Representatives of a club, will do so, also to be considered for the purpose of possible Sponsorship awards given to clubs by Discgolfbuddy.

Because software is valuable, and it is easy to create an exact copy of a program from a single computer, software piracy is widespread. The illegal copying of software programs is a crime! In Canada and the United States and many other countries, copyright law provides for severe civil and criminal penalties for the unauthorized reproduction or distribution of copyrighted material.
Copyrighted material includes, but is not limited to, computer programs and accompanying sounds, images and text. Under Canada and U.S. law, infringement may result in civil damages of up to $150,000 and/or criminal penalties of up to five years imprisonment and/or a $250,000 fine.
